Position Summary:
The Spring Hill College Police Officer reports to the Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety. Provides quality police services that include maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning and contributing to the education process for students. Police Officers provide for the safety of all SHC community members. Assists in loss prevention, monitor security cameras, parking, traffic control, foot patrol and responds to emergency situations.
Essential Functions:
Maintains a safe and secure campus environment by regularly patrolling the campus
Protects and secures community members, property and facilities
Prevents unlawful acts, suppress disturbances, and provides service aid relief Initiates investigations when deemed necessary based on sound information concerning alleged criminal offense; collects and preserves evidence for criminal investigations including witness statements and physical evidence
Responds to calls concerning crisis, accidents, crimes and other emergencies or security concerns
Enforces all laws in accordance with the approved policies and procedures
Files appropriate criminal charges as applicable with the proper agency
Cooperates and works with other governmental entities and law enforcement agencies in sharing information and assistance

Enforces College parking and traffic regulations in accordance with Spring Hill College policies and pertinent state laws. This may include moving/lifting traffic control barricades, working and reporting traffic accidents, violations, infractions, etc.
Provides building security, including locking and unlocking doors.
Performs routine test of fire alarm systems. Responds to, silences, and resets alarms within campus buildings.
Performs routine inspections of elevator, emergency telephones and fire extinguisher units.
Promotes an awareness of safety issues by participating in awareness programs
Handles confidential matters with appropriate discretion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Other experience and/or training in positions involving safety and security operations as a security officer or other related field may be accepted when augmented by an extensive education component.

Department: Athletics (75% Coaching / 25% Secondary Responsibilities)
Summary Description: The Assistant Coach (Softball) assists the Head Coach with the day-to-day operations of the Varsity Softball Team, including practice planning, skill development, recruiting, and academic support. Additionally, the Assistant Coach will take on secondary administrative duties within the Athletics Department, such as sports information, game operations, and managing recreation programs. Experience in training pitchers is preferred.
Essential Functions – Sports Information and Game Operations
– Manage game operations, including scheduling, setup, and breakdown for athletic events.
– Capture in-game statistics for multiple sports (e.g., softball, basketball, soccer).
– Assist in compiling season statistics and historical records for the Athletics Department.
– Produce website graphics, video, and social media content to promote athletic events.
– Oversee online streaming of athletic contests and write press releases or game summaries as assigned.
– Submit statistics and award nominations to relevant conference and national offices.
Qualification Standards:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in coaching, training, or teaching in the sport required. A Master’s degree and prior coaching experience are preferred.
Licenses: A valid motor vehicle license and approval from the College’s automobile insurance carrier is required.
Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the College’s assigned pay grade.

The Assistant Director of Donor Stewardship reports to the Executive Director of Advancement and builds strategies to nurture and maintain relationships with donors to encourage their ongoing support for Spring Hill College. Donor stewardship involves consistent communication, gratitude, and engagement to ensure that donors feel valued, informed, and connected to the College’s mission. In order to achieve this objective, the Assistant Director will build stewardship matrix and ensure that all touchpoints including gift receipts, acknowledgements, impact reports, pledge reminders, and stewardship events excite interest and strengthen donor connection and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops and drives the strategic plan for the College’s stewardship program. Director is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all stewardship tactics designed to enhance the donor’s philanthropic experience and increase the likelihood of initial and sustained support including: gift receipts, acknowledgement letters, impact reports, pledge reminders, financial reports for endowed funds, donor recognition, and other donor-centric products and services
• Supports Major Gifts team in the development of gift proposals and other tools developed to engage major gift donors and prospects in philanthropic opportunities
• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with gift officers. Develop a deep understanding of the pipeline of solicitations and corresponding need for proposals or other content. Partner with gift officers to develop the most compelling case for support
• Partners with Spring Hill faculty and staff to translate their objectives and goals into compelling content for both solicitations and stewardship of our donor community
• Coordinates with Financial Aid to ensure scholarships are awarded and gift information is shared the appropriate parties

Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Director for Athletic Communications manages the sports information program for all intercollegiate athletic teams. The Director for Athletic Communications will oversee the compilation of accurate statistics for intercollegiate athletics and disseminate timely information to maximize media visibility. This position requires knowledge of athletics and sports information, as well as excellent public relations skills, writing ability, basic web design, web based content management and desktop publishing. The Director for Athletic Communications must be able to manage several projects simultaneously with a high degree of organization. This position must also be able to coordinate with staff and manage student assistants to cover multiple events simultaneously.
Qualification Standards: Education: Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, sports management or related field.

The Director for Community Standards leads the college’s non-academic student conduct and behavioral intervention initiatives, promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment. Reporting to the Executive Director for Student Life, the Director collaborates with Residential Life, Counseling Services, Public Safety, academic partners, and other stakeholders
to manage student conduct processes, develop policies, and provide leadership for training and educational programming.
