The rich background of our liberal arts core encourages curiosity about the work and engages students in critical thinking and problem solving. Graphic design is defined as the art and practice of communicating ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. Our graphic design program provides theoretical understanding of design principles and technical skills required of a professional designer.

“Spring Hill College played an integral role in preparing me to be a design entrepreneur. I had amazing professors to guide me as I double majored in graphic design and business. Out of all the many lessons I learned, the most valuable one was how to use my knowledge to make a positive impact in the world. We were constantly assigned projects that supported the community –designing logos or creating campaigns for local nonprofits. I remember how grateful the nonprofits were to have our help and how good it felt to be making a positive impact through our talents. Because of those values Spring Hill College instilled in me, I have set-up a Support Local campaign through my apparel business, Series Six. We choose a different nonprofit to work with each month and collaborate on a t-shirt design that we sell with 100% of profit going back to the organization. To date we have raised over $200,000 for local nonprofits in the St. Louis area. While Series Six partners with notable businesses like Anheuser-Busch and the St. Louis Blues, our nonprofit work is what we are most proud of”
