The Art Administration program is intended for students with an interest in the visual and performing arts and a desire to pursue careers in the administration or management of arts organizations such as museums, theater companies, orchestras, and choruses. The program combines a broad exposure to the arts with significant training in management, marketing, event planning, strategic planning writing, development, and digital communication.
Our art administration program provides students with a balanced education, focusing on the business and management side of the arts. This program has a heavy emphasis on business topics of accounting, marketing, management, and economics while also educating students on different artistic principles and methods.
Graduates of the art administration program at Spring Hill College can pursue careers in arts management, marketing, and communications. This is a great opportunity for students to gain real-world experience while also developing a personal artistic portfolio. The skills graduates learn will be applicable to a variety of professional fields of work.
“SHC’s focus on service brought new meaning to my art, as well as my view on the larger community. I share this same philosophy with my students today.” — Grant Benoit
The arts are systems of communication that teach us about human interaction and creativity in problem solving.
