This program provides students with an overview of artistic principles and methods with several elective classes for students to tailor their minor to their interests and goals. This is a great program for students that want to maintain their creative connection and incorporate it into their work.
Graduates with a minor in studio art may be able to work in public relations, graphic design, branding, and communications work. The aesthetic skills that students gain from this minor will help students get in touch with their creative side in the professional world.
“SHC’s focus on service brought new meaning to my art, as well as my view on the larger community. I share this same philosophy with my students today.” — Grant Benoit
The arts are systems of communication that teach us about human interaction and creativity in problem solving.
