Badger Checklist

1. Make Your Deposit

Secure your spot on the Hill by making your deposit today – $350 for students living on-campus and $200 for commuters.


2. Summer Orientation

Badger Connection Orientation is designed to introduce you to your future classmates and get you ready for the start of classes in August. Registration for each Badger Connection will close 2 days before the day of the event! Check out the Badger Connection page to RSVP and stay updated on upcoming sessions


3. Complete the Fall Pre-Advising Questionnaire and Foreign Language Placement Assessment

During Badger Connections, advisors from the Career & Academic Success & Advising will assist you in creating your Fall 2024 schedule and registering for classes. To streamline this process, please complete the Fall Pre-Advising Questionnaire at the link below, and take your placement assessments in math, English, and foreign languages.

Visit the Career & Academic Success & Advising to learn more about the coursework you will be taking during your time at SHC. Spring Hill College students interested in receiving accommodations while at the institution can contact accessibility@shc.edu for further information.


4. Apply for Housing

Students who have paid their initial deposit can register for housing in the SHC Housing portal. Housing is guaranteed on the Hill, but specific buildings are first come, first served. Check out the different residence halls here.  Your login to the Housing application is your SHC email and password. Please contact your Admissions Counselor if you need this information. The deadline for housing accessibility accommodations for housing is June 1.

Students may apply for an exception if:

  • They are over the age of 23
  • Are experiencing a hardship
  • Are parents themselves
  • Have permanent residency within 50 miles of Mobile, AL area with a parent or guardian


5. Complete the Financial Aid Checklist

Check out our financial aid checklist. This is one of the most important steps, as 100% of our students receive some form of financial aid!

Make sure to complete your FAFSA by July 1 (SHC school code is 001041).


6. Complete Student Financial Services Enrollment Agreement – Due August 1

Complete the Enrollment Agreement (parent signature required on both sides if the student is under 19 years old) and email it to the Office of Student Financial Services at studentbilling@shc.edu.


7. Health Forms – Due July 1

All students must submit immunization records to badgershealth@shc.edu and complete the Health & Immunization form by July 1. 

These immunization records must show that a TB Skin Test has been completed and read by August 1. Please note: these documents need to be signed by a physician.


8. Register for Parking

Register your vehicle for your on-campus parking permit.


9. Access for the Parent Portal

Parents may access their students’ records once given permission by their student, under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

10. Submit Transcript – Due 7 Days Before Orientation Date

Submit your official final high school transcripts, AP Scores, IB Scores, and/or final college transcripts at least 7 days before your orientation date to admit@shc.edu or by mail to:

11. Move In Day – August 16

That’s it! Now look forward to Badger Move-In Day!

Move-in Day is a day unlike any other at Spring Hill College, where you’ll be greeted by students, faculty and staff while moving into your new home.

After Move-In Day, all students will participate in Badger Beginnings. Badger Beginnings will be a fully immersive experience into Spring Hill College and that #BadgerLife.
