Badger Checklist
1. Badger Beginnings (New Student Orientation)
Badger Beginnings is designed to introduce you to your future classmates and get you ready for the start of classes in either Fall (beginning in August) or Spring (beginning in January). Check out the Badger Beginnings page to RSVP and stay updated about the event details!
Session 1 will be on June 26, 2026. Session 2 will be on July 24, 2026. More details to follow.

2. Apply for Housing
Students who have paid their initial deposit can register for housing in the SHC Housing portal. Housing is guaranteed on The Hill, but specific buildings are first come, first served. Check out the different residence halls here. Your login to the Housing application is your SHC email and password. Housing application will be available on April 15th. Please contact your Admissions Counselor if you need this information. The deadline for housing accessibility accommodations is June 1 for Fall and by December 15 for Spring admits.
On-Campus Housing is required for all students. Students may apply for an exception if:
- They are over the age of 23
- Are experiencing a hardship
- Are parents themselves
- Have permanent residency within 50 miles of Mobile, AL area with a parent or guardian
3. Complete the Financial Aid Checklist
Check out our financial aid checklist. This is one of the most important steps, as nearly 100% of our students receive some form of financial aid!
Make sure to complete your FAFSA by July 1 (SHC school code is 001041).
4. Review and Sign Student Financial Services Enrollment Agreement – Due August 1st for Fall and January 2nd for Spring
Complete the Enrollment Agreement (parent signature required on both sides if the student is under 19 years old) and email it to the Office of Student Financial Services at studentbilling@shc.edu.
5. Health Immunization Forms
All students must submit the completed Badgers Health Immunization Form prior to the beginning of their first semester of enrollment. The completed form should be emailed to badgershealth@shc.edu.
Students must have proof of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, meningitis, hepatitis B, and tetanus. Students must also provide documentation of tuberculosis (TB-skin test) screening within the past year. Immunization documentation must be submitted via the completed Badgers Health Immunization Form. Please note: both columns of this form must be signed by a physician. Please also note that immunization printouts from your medical provider or related types of documentation do not meet the parameters of this requirement. The Badgers Health Immunization Form must be completed in total and signed accordingly by a medical provider. For additional information about the SHC’s immunization requirements, go HERE, contact Counseling & Wellness Services at ext.4098, or visit the office on the bottom floor of the LAC.
6. Register for Parking
Register your vehicle for your on-campus parking permit.
7. Access for the Parent Portal
Parents may access their students’ records once given permission by their student, under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
Badgerweb login is required to access the parent portal, additional information will be provide during your Badger Beginnings session.
8. Submit Transcript – Due 7 Days Before Orientation Date
Have your official final high school transcripts, AP Scores, IB Scores, and/or college transcripts submitted at least 7 days before your orientation date to admit@shc.edu or by mail to:
