SENIOR CLASS PARTY: 9:00 p.m. - 12:00a.m. - Destination Unknown. Hosted by the Senior Class. All graduates are invited.
FRIDAY MAY 9
PRESIDENT’S FAMILY RECEPTION: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. – Rydex Commons. Rain Plan: Louise Moorer Commons. All graduates, families, faculty, and staff are invited. Hosted by the Rev. Gregory F. Lucey, S.J. and the Office of Alumni Programs.
SATURDAY MAY 10
BACCALAUREATE MASS: 5:00 p.m. – Avenue of the Oaks. No formal procession. Seating is open and graduating seniors may sit with friends and relatives.
SENIOR BALL: 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. – Location: Louise Moorer Commons (cafeteria). Semi-formal attire is suggested. Band; cash bar. All graduates and families are invited.
SUNDAY MAY 11
COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES: 10:00 a.m. - The Avenue Of The Oaks. Procession forms at 9:00 a.m. at Byrne Hall. Open seating for friends and family. Graduates (Masters, BA, BS, BSN, AS, Certificates) in alphabetical order in each degree category assemble on the second floor of Byrne Hall. Faculty, Administrators, and Dignitaries will organize in the lower corridor of Byrne Hall. CAP AND GOWN.
SENIOR CLASS PICTURE: After Commencement, the procession continues to the steps of Byrne Hall for the Senior Class picture before disbanding. Please be prompt!
DIPLOMA PICK UP: Diplomas may be picked up at the tables near the Byrne Hall steps immediately following the senior class picture. All remaining diplomas will be mailed to the student’s address of record.
BACCALAUREATE RAIN PLAN
5:00 p.m. - Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center, Campus.
COMMENCEMENT RAIN PLAN
In the event of rain, commencement exercises will be held at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center, on campus, 11:00 a.m. Attendance will be limited to five (5) guests per graduate. Ushers will direct graduates, faculty, and the platform party to their dressing areas.
In case of rain, the decision to move either the Baccalaureate Mass or the Commencement Ceremony indoors will be made no later than an hour before the event:
WHIL, 91.3 FM, will broadcast a message repeatedly if the rain plan is invoked. Telephone information will be available by calling 251-380-2262. An announcement will be broadcast and the telephone message activated only if the Rain Plan is in effect. If the events are to be held outdoors on the Avenue of the Oaks, there will be no announcement.
Public safety officers will advise arriving guests if the rain plan is in effect.
FIRST AID ASSISTANCE
First aid assistance will be available during the Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises.
RESIDENCE HALLS
Residence Halls will close at 5:00 p.m.
